Latin Name: Herba Dendrobii

Properties: sweet, bland, slightly cold

Actions: nourishes Yin, clears deficiency heat, generates fluids, tonifies kidneys, brightens eyes

Medical Indications: febrile diseases with symptoms such as dry and parched mouth and throat, thirst, perspiration, and irritability, hronic dry cough, night sweats, weak back, bones, and tendons, poor vision, spots in front of eyes, dizziness, numbness of extremities

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of deficiency without heat, early stage wind heat, excess heat, or abdominal distension with thick, greasy tongue coat

Dosage: 6 to 15 grams
