Latin Name: Fructus Crataegi

Properties: sweet, sour, warm

Actions: reduces food stagnation, disperses blood stagnation, transforms accumulation, dissipates clumps, stops diarrhea, treats cardiovascular diseases

Medical Indications: indigestion with abdominal distention, diarrhea, and pain, to improve digestion of meat, and fatty foods, amenorrhea, postpartum pain, hernia, hypertension, angina, high cholesterol, coronary aretry disorders, chronic dysentery

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy

Caution: to be used with caution in cases with stomach and spleen deficiency, and in cases with peptic ulcers or gastritis, not to be used long-term

Dosage: 9 to 15 grams
