Latin Name: Polygonum Multiflorum

Properties: sweet, bitter, astringent, slightly warm

Actions: counteracts toxicity, moistens intestines, unblocks bowels, expels wind from skin by nourishing blood, treats malarial disorders

Medical Indications: chronic malaria, neurasthenia, hyperlipemia, constipation, premature white hair, nerve injuries, spermatorrhea, vaginal discharge, eczema, goiter, sores, scrofula, carbuncles, inflammation of lymph nodes, boils

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used in cases of spleen deficiency, diarrhea, or phlegm

Dosage: 9 to 30 grams
