Latin Name: Herba Sargassii

Properties: bitter, salty, cold

Actions: dissolves phlegm, regulates waterways, promotes urination, reduces edema, treats hernia pain

Medical Indications: skin infections, goiters, lymphadenitis, nodules, hernia, thyroiditis, edema, dysuria, beriberi

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used in cases of spleen or stomach deficiency

Dosage: 6 to 15 grams
