Latin Name: Hippocampus

Properties: sweet, salty, warm

Actions: invogorates blood, tonifies and warms vital functions of liver and kidney

Medical Indications: asthma, arthritis, abdominal pain, impotence, incontinence, insomnia caused by deficiency, throat infections, skin diseases
Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy or in cases of Yin deficiency with high heat

Caution: large dosage or long term usage can be toxic to kidneys

Dosage: 3 to 9 grams
