Latin Name: Fructus Lycii

Properties: sweet, neutral

Actions: tonifies and nourishes liver and kidneys, alleviates sore back, legs, and stomach, tonifies deficiency, stops pain in joints and skin, gets rid of anxiety, gets rid of toxins from boils, improves night vision

Medical Indications: diabetes, anemia, impaired vision, general deficiency of vital essence with symptoms like pain in back, legs, and stomach, dizziness, and tinnitus

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used in cases of external heat, spleen deficiency with dampness and diarrhea or loose stool

Dosage: 6 to 15 grams
