Latin Name: Rhizoma Alpiniae Officinari

Properties: acrid, hot

Actions: warms the middle, alleviates pain

Medical Indications: diarrhea caused by indigestion, low digestive functions, cold and pain in stomach, vomiting caused by coldness in stomach

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of Yin deficiency with heat

Dosage: 3 to 10 grams
