Latin Name: Cortex Eucommiae

Properties: sweet, slightly acrid, warm

Actions: tonfies liver and kidney, strengthens muscles and bones, prevents miscarriage

Medical Indications: liver and kidney deficiency, lack of strength, chronic pain in lower back and knees, rheumatoid arthritis, impotence, dizziness, vertigo, irregular menses, frequent urination, unstable pregnancy or weakness during pregnancy, excessive movement of fetus

Contraindications: not to be used in cases with Yin deficiency with heat

Dosage: 12 to 15 grams
