Latin Name: Bulbus Allii Fistulosi

Properties: pungent, warm

Actions: induces sweating and releases wind and cold, disperses cold and invigorates Yang Qi

Medical Indications: used in early stages of wind-cold invasion, nasal congestion from cold or cold and fullness in abdomen, topically for abscesses and sores

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of spontaneous sweating, when taken internally, not to be mixed with honey

Dosage: 3 to 10 grams
