Chun Pi (Ailanthus Bark)

Latin Name: Ailanthus Altissimae

Properties: bitter, astringent, cold

Actions: inhibits ulcers, works antibiotic, expels round worms

Medical Indications: uterus bleeding, postpartum bleeding, excessive bleeding between menses, bacterial or yeast vaginal infection, spermatorrhea, gonorrhea, dysentery with blood

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of spleen deficiency or kidney Yin deficiency

Dosage: 6 to 9 grams
