Latin Name: Semen Plantaginis

Properties: sweet, cold

Actions: removes heat, resolves dampness, promotes urination, stops diarrhea, brightens eyes, clears lungs, dissolves phlegm, sdtops cough

Medical Indications: infection of urinary tract and bowels, painful, difficult, orhot urinary dysfunctions, edema, diarrhea due to dampness, red eyes, cataract, sexual dysfunction due to damp heat, phlegm, cough

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy

Caution: to be used with caution in cases of Yang Qi exhaustion, exhaustion from overwork, spermatorrhea caused by kidney deficiency

Dosage: 4.5 to 9 grams
