Chan Su (Toad Venom)

Latin Name: Venenum Bufonis

Properties: pungent, warm, toxic

Actions: removes toxic substances and promotes subsidence of swellings, alleviates pain, induces resuscitation

Medical Indications: all kinds of carbuncles, furuncles, swellings, cellulites, sore throat, heat stroke, vomiting, diarrhea, fullness in chest and abdomen, abdominal colic

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy

Caution: when applied topically, avoid its entering the eyes

Dosage: 0.015 to 0.03 grams
